What we do at EN-EL-CO…  Maintain, extend and improve the Electrical Network Supervision system (ENS).  Installation of all PLC based systems.  Provide and maintain software for power and energy consumption tracking.  Provide support for electrical networks fault analysis.  Standby service 24/ days/year for supervision system. 7

What I do at EN-EL-CO…  Upgrade, Maintain and Build the synoptic panels used in the current SCADA System for monitoring, supervising and control of CERN Electrical Network: SCATEX. 10

What I do at EN-EL-CO…  Renovation project of the SCADA system, which consists in the migration from the old SCATEX to a new system, PVSS based: PSEN.  Configuration of the electrical network for animation (ENS-DM)  Engineering of the panels  New symbols specification  PSEN training for EN/EL and BE/OP-TI (about 25 people) 14

What I do at EN-EL-CO…  Integration in the control infrastructure of new IED’s.  18kV cubicles for the powering a new TE/EPC test zone and LHC compensators  3.3kV bus-bar supervision for the powering LHC cryogenic equipment  400V switchboards  48V chargers system in BA85. 20

Training Value and Future Perspectives…  Training Value  Deep understanding of CERN electrical networks, from 400kV to 48VDC.  Good experience in SCADA system configuration and databases, system specifications and user needs.  Future Perspectives  Keep broadening my understanding of onsite installations and field related activities, equipment and communication protocols, maintenance, testing, commissioning, etc…  Upcoming projects for restructuring the ENS infrastructure at field level, i.e. DAU and RTU replacement. 23
