Stress Management

What is Stress? Stress is the non-specific response of the body to any demand made upon it. Stressors are situations or events that cause stress. External Stress- brought on from the outside the individual: Acute major stress (car accident or job loss), Role-related (work or family), Lifetime Trauma (Loss of a parent, exposed to natural disasters or war). Internal Stress – Originates in one’s own mind and body. What stresses you out?

Is all stress bad? NOPE! Distress- harmful Eustress- Beneficial Can you think of any good stress in your life?
