Zebras, Zebras And More Zebras By: Brianna Vara

Introduction Run, run, a predator is coming! It’s the ferocious king of the jungle, the lion. Zebras can be very interesting mammals. You will learn what they eat, who their predators are, and their habitat.

Predators A zebra’s main predator is a lion A zebra’s minor predators are hyenas, leopards, cheetahs, and other wild dogs When the herd notices a predator, they will form a semicircle, with their heads outward facing the predator When the herd runs together, all the stripes confuse the predator and make it hard to distinguish individuals

Food Zebras eat grass Stems of corn Leaves twigs

Habitat Zebras live in eastern southwestern and southern Africa Their habitat is an open grassland In some of the zebras’ habitat there is tall grass

Conclusion Now you know what the zebras eat, who their predators are, and their habitat. You can tell your friends all about the zebras now. Soon everyone will know about zebras!

Interesting Fact Every rainy season the zebras lead a mass migration across the Serengeti.
