A current situation that I have is that I cannot decide if a computer career is for me. I am considering any career in computers, but I can’t decide for certain if this is the right career path for me. I have some experience with computers, but not that much so I’m not sure if I will be able to continue down this path. I have some ideas of what I want to do, however I don’t know if these careers are suitable for me or if I have the skills to be able to do them properly.

I know that a career in computers will be different for me and something new for me. I know that I will be able to search up how it might be or maybe ask my father who works as a website developer and has experience in the computer career field. I know that this career requires knowledge on computers and knowledge on applications used by computers. Also I know that this job will require some degree of work, since I can tell by the way my dad has to work sometimes. Another thing that I know is that this career is based on computers and that it will affect my eyesight and I will have to be sitting most of my day. Moreover, I might get problems like CTS and RSI and those are risks that I take if I take a career in computers and I will have to be careful.

There are many things that I don’t know about this career, however and it is somewhat unknown territory for me. I do not know what it might have in store for me, such as wages and work hours for a computer career. Also, the type of work in computer careers and the types of careers in computer careers that are available. I don’t know how I will feel having a computer career and if this is even possible for me to achieve as a career. I don’t know how working in the computer workplace will be and the other aspects that are part of it. Furthermore, these types of careers might require some types of skills that I might not have and I might have a difficult time with it. I would like to know if there is anything that I might have a problem with.

There are some assumptions that I would make when trying to solve this problem. I would probably assume that I know what I was looking for in a career and what I wanted as a wage and how long my work hours are. Also, in this problem I assumed that the career that my dad was doing was the path that I was going to take as my computer career path or a model one.

This step is when I will brainstorm ideas that can be used to solve the problem and have a solution to this situation. There are three ideas that I would have to solve my problem in finding out if a computer career is for me. I would one search up on the internet to find out more about computer careers and see if it is for. Another idea that I have is that I could ask my father who has a job in the computer field and get some insight from him. The finally idea that I have to solving this problem would be maybe find a way to get feel for a job in the computer field by maybe doing a co-op that has a computer career as it. I feel that these three possible solutions might be able to help me solve this problem that I have.

Idea one is when I take a look on the internet and search up information on computer careers and try to find some information. This idea could give me some ideas of what it could be like visually and as a description. The information on the internet could tell me lots of different options and lots of different opinions. Also, it could tell me like maybe how the workplace would look and get a very brief idea of how it would feel working there from many people. This idea could let me find out information from many people on the internet and I could get a very broad view of everything that might happen if I had a computer career.

Idea number two would be me asking my dad how he feels about has career in computers and I would be able to have him tell me all the specifics of his job. This way when I ask him I can get a lot more information and insight on a computer career. Another thing he could be able to tell me is the wage that he gets and how he feels about his job. I could get an idea of how long the hours are and he could give a very good idea of what skills you need and possible if you get lots of extra work after hours. Moreover, he could tell me maybe what his other co-workers do as other jobs and tell me what he can see about them and possibly give me more career options. Additional, he would be able to show me some content from his work, which would give me a better idea of how the work would be. The dangers and bad habits in this career would be told to me by him and could be able to avoid them like he told me.

Idea three would be me trying to find a co-op of a computer career and get a feel for the job. I would find a co-op that had a computer career and I would go to it. I would see what it would be like to have a computer career job. I would see how I feel about it and how it affected my physical health. I could be able to maybe a possible job option that I could have if I enjoyed my co-op. Moreover, I could see what skills this job might require and get a general idea of maybe how much work I would have to do after I leave work. Another thing I could get out of this possibly is maybe how much I could make and the other types of computer careers out there.

Here is where I would find out which idea I feel would be the best to do and give me the best results for my problem. I feel that the best idea would be idea number two for many reasons. Idea number two just had so much more information than the other two and it has the most experience out of the two, since my dad has been in this career for many years and could give me important advice. Idea number one would be one of worst, since it is hard to tell about the information and some of them might now be as experienced. Idea three was an okay idea, since I could get an idea of how a day on a computer career would be like. It could give me some general ideas, but not as in- depth as what my father could tell me and I wouldn’t get information from a experienced person in the computer field.

The best idea would be to ask my father since he has the most experience and could be able to tell me the most information. He would be very reliable and give me a very close description of how his job is. He could probably give me the closest to how much you could make in a computer career. He could also give me tips on the job and how to avoid problems that the internet and the co-op could not give me. Moreover, I can be certain that the information he gives to me is correct and I could get more options from listening to him about his co-workers jobs. He could also tell me which jobs to avoid and what ones are good. He could give me ideas and tell me about skills and characteristics that I might need for a computer career job unlike the co-op or the internet.

The two other ideas available would be to use the internet or do a co-op. The idea of using internet would not such a good idea, since not all sources are reliable and some of them are not that experienced. The internet can only really describe the experience and it might be hard for me to understand what they are trying to say. The co-op is not such a bad idea, but I will not be able to get all the information that I need and it is not as experienced as the information that I can get from my dad. Moreover, the co-op is only for one day, so I can only get so much information on a computer career. However, I can ask my dad whenever and I can get lots of information and advice like I said before. That is way the best idea is to ask my dad for information on a career in computers.

If I were to ask my dad for information on a computer career I would start of by making some questions for him to answer. The questions would be information on a computer career such as the amount of money you make, the hours, the workplace and workplace experience, skills and traits needed for a computer career and some tips and advice for the career. I would also ask him what are some careers that he would suggest as a good computer career. I would then commence to ask him these questions and try to get the best answer for each. After that I would take a look at what the information was and see if this is a job that I could be able to do or not and solve my problem if a computer career was for me.

I find that this idea was great and had lots of information to be used to help me decide if I wanted a career in computers. I could also get lots of advice and experience from this idea. However, I didn’t really know if I was asking the right questions so I would probably first look online about some things to look for when choosing a career and use that and ask my dad to see if I wanted to do a job that was a computer career. If I found out that most of the things were not found I might not choose a career in computers or maybe if most of the things were found I would choose a career in computers.

The answer to this question is a no for computer career is for me. I asked my dad about his career in computers and I found that it was pretty disappointing. I was told that the pay was decent, but he had some pretty long hours. Also, you have to watch out for CTS and RSI which can happen to you when you have to sit at a computer for a long time and keep on clicking the mouse or typing on the keyboard. He also sometimes had to bring work home and had to work on it into the night. Moreover, this career has an affect on your eyes, since you have to be using the computer a lot, so your eyesight might get worse. Another thing is that you could get pain everywhere from not having an ergonomically correct office, such as back pain, eyestrain, joint pain in your wrists, CTS, RSI and etc.
