Lisbon’s Strategy and Students The future of the European Union is strictly connected with students. As a matter of fact they are the new resource that can give to Europe a new force. The European Union to be competitive all over the world must become a new economy based on knowledge.

For a knowledge based economy Make a reality of the vision of a knowledge based society Further investment on research and development High quality education system Competitive universities at an international level Development of innovation poles Proposals to simplify mutual recognition of qualifications Stronger investment and use of ICTs Encourage entrepreneurial initiative Emanate new political and social reforms Invest in education and vocational training Give to students the opportunity to have a deep knowledge Give to students skills to be a good worker and a good European citizen
