Using Word Q and Speak Q A presentation created by: Craig Beckett SLRC/UCDSB

Question Question ? What is Word Q? WordQ is a software program that works with other programs to help you write Word Q suggests words for you to use and provides spoken feedback

Why use Word Q? Benefits: – Word Q uses cues to help writers to compose sentences and paragraphs. – Similar to the predictive text of a cellular telephone, Word Q predicts a list of words from a few keystrokes. – The software echoes a person’s typing giving immediate feedback. – Works directly within any standard application (Word, Inspiration, Internet Explorer etc).

Word Q A brief example…

When can you best use Word Q? When you are note-taking, especially if you have messy hand-writing When you need help with spelling, proofreading, and editing Anytime you use a computer

Let’s use Word Q Question 1: If you could visit anywhere in the world, which place would you visit? Explain why.

Let’s use Word Q Question 2: – What was your favorite junk food as a child explain why.
