Algebra 2 Unit 2 Piece-wise Functions

Graph the Following Southwest Airlines from SF to Seattle An airplane took off and increased its speed steadily for 15 minutes until it reach a speed of 600 mph. For 30 minutes, the plane flew at 600 mph. The airplane began to slow down steadily until its speed was 300 mph, this took 8 minutes. The airplane circled the airport at a cruising speed of 300 mph for 7 minutes, and then slowed until it landed 15 minutes later. Represent this as a graph on the coordinate plane. Label the coordinate plane.

Seattle Great Wheel The Seattle Great Wheel is one hundred seventy five high and sits at Pier 57 on Elliot Bay in Seattle. One full rotation takes twelve minutes. Graph two full rotations on the coordinate plane. Use time and height above the ground as your measurements.

Linear Functions Previous knowledge: Linear Functions Slope, formula, find slope given two points Graphing, standard and slope-intercept form, x and y intercepts Writing Equations, given two points write equation of a line

Functions Definition of a Function: A relation where for every value of the domain there is one and only one value of the range. Definition: The domain is the input or x values of the set of coordinate points. Definition: The range is the output or y values of the set of coordinate points. Function Notation

Piece-wise Functions Definition: A function made up of more than one equation each corresponding to a different part of the domain. I can: (a) evaluate, (b) graph, and (c) write the function
