Teen Suicide By: Yoyo E10-2

Summary Tragedy of a young teen dying due to overwhelming hopelessness or frustration which could be lead to family, friends, and community.

How Does this Problem Affect Us? According to research young teens in 2007, 39% of all youth suicides are completed by young teens who have lost someone of influence or significance to them so they suicide. For teenagers, depression is considered a leading - if not the leading - cause of teen suicide. “Gay teens or those unsure of their sexual identity are more likely to commit suicide, particularly if they have suffered bullying or harassment.

Solutions suicide is a preventable it can be proven very easily if one has the correct knowledge and understanding it takes to help suicidal people. More television commercials, magazine articles, radio talks, and other important ways to get messages out about suicide, more people would recognize if their friend, co- worker, family member, etc. is thinking about suicide. The person can then help the suicidal person with their problems and everything will turn out just fine.

Statistics EVERY YEAR there are approximately 10 youth suicides for every 100,000 youth. EVERY DAY there are approximately 11 youth suicides. EVERY 2 HOURS AND 11 MINUTES a person under the age of 25 completes suicide

Possible Solutions Getting help from adults and more social communication with people who know how to deal with young teens that have the thought of suicide

What Will be the Result if This Problem ISN’T solved soon? More and more teens have the thought of suicide due to the pressure they have in real life, if we don’t start putting a stop to teen suicide then more and more teens will end their lives at such a young age
