Simple Machines All mechanical devices consist completely of two machines: Lever Incline The purpose of any machine is to make Work easier for humans to move a load Work is conserved (kinda how Energy is conserved) The Work you do on a machine can only equal the Work the machine does on the load The benefit of a simple machine is to change the direction and/or amount of the FORCE!!!!!!!

Levers There are 3 classes of levers: Class 1- See left Fulcrum in middle Class 2 Class 3 A Lever consists of, well, the lever, and these 3 parts: Effort Fulcrum Load Effort Load Effort Fulcrum Load Load Effort Fulcrum Fulcrum
