ABOUT THE PAINTING Painting Name: Christ crucified with Toledo in the Background Artist: Domenikos Theotokopoulos (Also called El Greco) Date of Composition: 1604 until 1614 Era: Baroque Current location: Fundación Banco Santander Painted with: Oil on a canvas

WHY I CHOSE IT I chose Christ crucified with Toledo in the Background because it really caught my attention. Also, Jesus being crucified on the cross is a very important event that I study as a Catholic. Finally, it is an excellent representation of the crucifixion.

This painting also brings back great memories of eating watermelon in the summer time. Viva La Vida was also painted by Frida Kahlo, who is a familiar artist to me.
