The sixth group

In “Making the grade” we can conclude that + Many college student develop a disgruntle- consumer approach + Some students don’t think it is fair that they are judged by their performance, not their desires or potential

+ The author says that it is necessary to preserve a minimum standard of quality that our society needs to maintain safety and integrity.

In “ Why grade go up “we can concluded that These years, grades are going to rise and rise in colleges Teachers have the pressure from students Small courses are also a big problem

Too many grade-scale categories can make inflation more likely The situation of rising grades is due to not only students but also teachers.

Professor (from Polaris): Grade represents the level of a student Grading in university is necessary and indispensable.

Student 1(from Hong Kong): If there were no grading in university, I can’t know at which level I am in the whole class. Grade can let me recognize whether I understand this chapter or not. Student 2(from the earth) Professors should select another way scoring my performance. PBL can replace grading in the class.

Student 3(from Mars): Whether the phenomenon happened depend on the professors. Lazy is the personality that everyone has. It is necessary for student to have proper grading.

Student 4(from Jupiter): In some subjects, grades are the most important indication Classes relatively less important for us so the professors of those seubjects should not grade their students.

Student 5(from Uranus): Grading in college is the fairest way to ascertain students’ performance Grading a student doesn’t need too many distinguishing characteristic.

Professor need to help the students on their studying but not on the grade The professor should make a standard of grading. The students would pay attention to their work, but don’t take it too serious.

We have to care about our studying, because that’s what a student have to do. We students have a lot of things to learn not only studying.
