Presentation transcript:

By the end of the lesson students will be able to use positive communication to sort MARS Skills into M-A-R-S categories and explain their reasoning with their group members

One movie or trailer I’ve seen in the past two years is _____________. I would call it a (drama, comedy, action & adventure) movie because ________.

 Why do we categorize things?  What things do you categorize in your life?

Recorder – Responsible for writing down responses Reporter – Responsible for reporting out to the class Materials Manager – Responsible for materials Technology Expert – Responsible for researching information online

1. Using your M-A-R-S letter, start with the Materials Manager 2. The Materials Manager will start by stating a synonym for your assigned M-A-R-S letter, then everyone will write it down 3. Do the same going clockwise until there are 2 written responses from each person in your group 4. If you get stuck, consult the Technology Expert to find some synonyms online

One positive thing about todays lesson was… One thing I would suggest to improve today’s lesson would be… Identify up to 3 teachers who greet others
