Lesson Objectives Upon completion of this lesson, students should be able to … Discuss the steps to take in preparing a patient for a physical examination. Explain concepts of properly draping patients. List and describe nine patient examination positions that are used during a physical examination. List laboratory and diagnostic tests that may be ordered as part of a complete physical examination. Explain the sequence of a routine physical examination.
