What is your first impression of Macbeth from the reports that King Duncan receives about him? In Scene III, what predictions do the witches make? How do Macbeth and Banquo react? What does Macbeth mean when he says in Scene III, “If chance will have me King, why chance may crown me King, Without my stir”? What does Duncan do in Scene IV to diminish his hope?
