OCLC BISAC Initiatives OCLC researchers and Dewey editors are collaborating on a project to create authority records for BISAC subject headings and add Dewey numbers to the records BISAC subject headings, including usage notes, are coded according to the MARC 21 format for authority data Dewey numbers from DDC 22, the latest edition of Dewey, are applied to the records by the Dewey team

The Authority File and BISAC-DDC Mappings Base file = 2007 edition Manual & programmatic conversion Updated to reflect 2008 and 2009 additions and changes MARC21 Authority Format 3,672 Records (includes inactive codes) 7,449 DDC numbers (assigned by Dewey editors) 4,136 Usage notes
