Presentation transcript:

● In this lesson you will learn ● Six steps to making good decisions ● Definitions of success and persistence

 Identify the problem: How do you get in shape?  Consider your values: You value being physically fit.  List the options: Ride a stationary bike or jog.

 Weigh the consequences: If the weather is bad, you won’t be able to run. The bike is indoors.  Decide, and act: You decide to ride the bike.  Evaluate your choice:  You ride for an hour every day. You are getting in shape! You reached your goal.

 SUCCESS--- achievement of your goals  PERSISTENCE--- commitment to work toward your goals.

 Define success?--- When you reach your goal.  What is persistence?--- Is the commitment to keep working towards your goal.  What is the relationship between goals and success?-- Goals are what you set success is what you reach when you achieve your goals.  How can a mistake be a valuable learning tool?--- You can learn for your mistakes and you know what to do differently.

 Work hard to achieve success.  Set goals so you work hard enough to get them.  Have persistence so you are committed to your goals.
