Revision Timetable Making Up a Revision Timetable – One Approach Why do it? It will free up time – you will enjoy your time off It will enable you to see the ‘big picture’ It will encourage you to see your revision as a ‘job to be done’ – it makes it easier to get on with specific subjects rather than just vaguely revising
Revision Timetable 1.Do the sums Add up how many hours you need to do for each subject 2.Think of each day as having the following structure: Morning, afternoon, evening 3.For every 2 sessions that you revise, give yourself a free session 4.On a computer (or by hand) write out a schedule for every day until your last exam
Revision Timetable 5.Add into this schedule: school days, exams, clubs/sports, special occasions, time off 6.Add in your revision sessions 7.Make alterations – you might find that you can’t make it fit 8.Give yourself 3 ‘Jokers’. Use these if you really can’t be bothered revising
Deposit Account Book Gives a real chance for success Adopts a flexible approach to study Matches lifestyle and interests Gives control Provides free time Keeps everybody happy Reduces stress Links to a reward system Provides immediate feedback
