STUDENT LED CONFERENCES LAYOUT By Ahmed Dandan

WHAT TO TALK ABOUT  Math  During math across the year weave had a lot of different teachers each containing different approaches to learning. Over the course of the year I've studied and have learnt many different topics and formulas including algebra, measurement, Pythagoras theorem, linear equations, questionnaires and etc. the assignments given were quite challenging as they contained a variety of questions.  English  Our English lessons were filled with fun and joy as Mr. Apostolou the greatest teacher made his lessons hands on and interactive. We went through many English techniques as we analyzed text such as poems, graphic novels and scripts like Troy 24

WHAT TO TALK ABOUT  Science:  This year I found Science difficult as the terminology was very hard to understand and remember especially because there was so many topics like the human body, electric charges and circuits, periodic table, ecology and atoms. I struggled a lot as I was given many assignments during the term each telling me to do something different like write speeches or create and advertisements.  History:  During history we learnt about japan and the shoguns, medieval Europe and in geography we learnt about ecological sustainability and polar lands etc. every history lesson we were given tasks to complete as groups. This was very exciting as I learnt multiple skills of cooperation, communication, and collaboration.

WHAT TO TALK ABOUT  Technology:  in technology we focused on design a lot from making a small realistic 3d model bedroom design to making my own magazine. these were all very interesting as we were asked to work in groups. Technology was very hands on and it was probably one of the best subjects of they year even though I dislike technology overall.  Arabic:  Arabic is a very hard subject in my eyes I struggle to understand and speak Arabic. But during the year I have adapted to new Arabic vocabulary and have memorized some speeches about sports and technology. One of my favorite things I did was create a animation video about technology which turned out better than I expected.

WHAT TO TALK ABOUT  Art:  Art, one of my favorites subjects. During the year art has been a lesson to look forward to but it is hard as we only get 2 lessons a week. During art we have learnt about many artists and how they became famous. We learnt different techniques which we used to incorporate into our art works examples of this would be pointillism, surrealism, pop art, paper cutting and etc.  Quran and Islamic:  Quran was the best, I learnt 5 surah's including al-baqarah, thariyat, tour and wa-najjim. In Islamic studies we have learnt about the prophets, angels and history of Islam. We have learnt about the miracles and etc.
