Presentation transcript:

GOES-14 1-minute imagery GOES-14 will collect 1-minute imagery May 9-22 Data will be collected at CIRA’s groundstation and converted into NAWIPS and AWIPS-2 formats The NAWIPS data will be sent to the SPC for use in their operations (otherwise they have no access to GOES-14 data). Does AWC and WPC want it too? For the first time, we’ll be sending the data to the Boulder WFO for use in AWIPS-2…this will be a nice test on whether A2 can handle the frequent imagery and large loops A2 VIS and IR data 1-minute data will be sent to the HWT (since the spring experiment will be ongoing) and to the Central Region LDM, where the BOU will be able to access and use it Chad G. is helping set up an evaluation form for BOU, and Bill L. has evaluation questions for the HWT participants 1

GOES-14 1-minute imagery Tim S. will be maintaining the primary GOES-14 site: CIRA will have links to the real-time data here, including an html5 (platform-independent) looper: Screen grab from the AWIPS-2 at the HWT in Norman showing a sample GOES-14 1-minute sector, and the associated menus.
