Tree Rings The rings in trunks are also an instrument for studying the past. The widths of tree rings changes on how much the tree grow. If the tree has a lot of rings that means that it is very old. One ring is one year if the tree is in good condition.

Those pictures shows the rings of trees.

Ice Core An Ice core is a cylindrical sample that shows the age of the ice layer that have built up over 1000 years ago. It is similar as rock layer. Differences in the oxygen atoms in ice at different levels present how long ice age and warm period finished.

Ice Core This is the measurement of the ice core.

Quiz Questions Q1.What show Tree Rings??? A1. It shows the age and the growth of a tree. Q2. What’s similar as ice core? A2. It’s rock layer~! Q3.How does the tree ring and ice core related?????????? A3.-They both show the age of an object or event~! Bonus Question! How old is a tree that has around 50 rings? Answer-It is around 50 years old if the tree is in good condition~!

Thanks For Watching~!
