Šumperk

History of the Town In 1669 the town burnt down and shortly afterwards Sumperk became infamous for its witch trials. Sumperk became famous for traditional textile industry in 2nd half of 19th century. It was called The small Vienna. Šumperk was founded in 13th century. There are about 30 thousand inhabitants today.

Changes of the Town

At present visitors can find there many opportunities for cultural and sports activities. It is possible to visit historical monuments, theatre, cinema, museum, disco, swimming pool and many other interesting places.
