Activities for the next year SPARC session at CMOS 2010 (Ottawa)

The SPARC Office Beyond 2011 The largest portion of the cash support for the SPARC IPO is provided by the Canadian Foundation for Climate and Atmospheric Sciences (CFCAS). The CFCAS mandate has recently been extended through 2011 with no additional funding. A proposal for extension of CFCAS support for the SPARC IPO will be considered by the CFCAS Board of Trustees in December, There is no indication that there will be a further extension of the CFCAS mandate beyond There are no prospective Canadian funding sources to replace the CFCAS support. In the absence of this support it will not be possible to maintan the SPARC IPO in its current location. Alternative locations are being considered.
