For: Mommy (and Daddy?) Love: Emma

Our math day is like this:  Come in, sit down, get math stuff out  Talk until Mrs. Brown gets there  Correct homework  Take notes on new lesson  Get a little bit of work time until the bell rings I will be including certain tests in this PowerPoint from lessons that I liked (one lesson per chapter).

Here is one of the of the tests for Chapter One (chapter 1.1). /msm3_pq_pal_01.html Chapter One was about the principles of algebra and was my favorite unit. It taught us basic algebra and was very interesting for me.

Here’s one test from Chapter Two (2.8-Solving Two-Step Equations): /msm3_pq_ran_08.html Chapter Two was about Rational Numbers, and was another easy lesson. We had to learn a lot of vocabulary, including the definition of irrational and rational numbers.

Chapter Three was about graphs, functions, and sequences. This lesson (about functions) was hard at first and was really confusing, then as we got the hang of it, it was actually fun (and easy compared to what we are learning now). Here is the test for it: /msm3_pq_gfs_04.html

Chapter Four (about exponents and roots) again seems easy and fun compared to what we are learning now, although I doubt that it was that fun then. Here’s a fun lesson (I liked Pythagorean Theorem best but, it would take too long): /msm3_pq_exr_01.html (Lesson 4.1)

Chapter Five 9 (about ratios, proportions, and similarities) was a interesting lesson where I liked the way everything was set up and the rules. Here’s lesson 5.1: /msm3_pq_rps_01.html

Chapter six () was a more in-depth lesson about percents. Here’s lesson 6.3: /msm3_pq_prc_03.html

Chapter seven was all about the foundations of geometry. Here’s about congruencies (lesson 7.6): /msm3_pq_fge_06.html

Chapter Eight (about perimeter, area, volume, etc.) was by far the hardest unit and test. The list of formulas was crazy! Here’s an easy one: /msm3_pq_pav_01.html

My personal favorite unit (except for one) was about graphs and statistics, data collection, etc. It was fun to see all the graphs and ways to take surveys. Here’s my favorite lesson (it was a hard pick!): /msm3_pq_das_06.html

We’re not quite finished with this unit but, it’s about probability. Here’s lesson 10.1: /msm3_pq_pba_01.html

Thank you for coming to my conference!
