D T S X To find DISTANCE COVER IT UP!

D T S X To find SPEED COVER IT UP!

D T S X To find TIME COVER IT UP!

This is how it works:  To find distance multiply speed by time.  To find speed divide distance by time.  To find time divide distance by speed.

Let’s see you work it! What is the distance this cruise ship will travel in one hour at a speed of 30 knots per hour? D ST X Its asking about DISTANCE so cover it up and do the math! Multiply Speed by Time 30 knots X 1 hour = 30 nautical miles.

Here is another problem:  I entered a hamster into a hamster race and the hamster ran at the speed of light for a distance of 1,000,000,000 miles. How long did this take him? X S D T To find TIME CVER IT UP. 1,000,000,000 divided by 299,792,458 mps= 3, seconds.
