Every year new species of mammals, birds, frogs, and reptiles are found in rainforests.

OCEANS While there are hundreds of thousands of known marine life forms, there are many that are yet to be discovered, some scientists suggest that there could actually be millions of marine life forms out there. Ocean tides are caused by the Earth rotating while the Moon and Sun’s gravitational pull acts on ocean water. The five Oceans are: the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, the Indian Ocean,the Arctic Ocean and the Southern Ocean The Pacific Ocean is the biggest ocean in the world it covers more than 30% of the world. The Great Barrier Reef located in Australia Is the largest coral reef in the world.

The largest hot desert on Earth is The Sahara. Deserts are home to a range of well suited plant life including various shrubs and cacti. They are also home to animals such as lizards and coyote. Deserts often contain large mineral deposits. The Sahara Desert is located in northern Africa, spanning 12 different countries. The largest cold desert on Earth is Antarctica

These are only a few of the wonderful ecosystem's on Earth and they are all home to a variety of plants and animals who are all necessary for life. The ocean is polluted, on a regular basis, by: oil, solid garbage, fertilizers, sewage, and toxic chemicals. Almost 800 species on Earth have become extinct.
