Implementing Maths Recovery Principles in a Senior School

 Mathematics Recovery (MR) is an international intervention programme which was developed in response to the problem of children's failure in early numeracy and primary mathematics.  Implementations of MR currently in schools indicate that it has the potential to impact on the numeracy teaching of the whole school and not just individualised one-to-one instruction. What is Maths Recovery?

 Recent research indicated 1. Whole class implementation decreased the number of pupils requiring more intensive support. 2. More able learners developed a higher level of mathematical strategies. How effective is Maths Recovery?
