CHRISTOS KOKKONIS

 In 1937 was founded the "Urban School for Girls." It started operating on 15 October 1937 and was a section of the Junior High School of Trikala.

 In 1960 there were 700 students and because of a lack of teachers the classrooms were too crowded.  In 1964 the school moved to the newly - built building on Valaoritou street.

 The school consisted of 20 classrooms, large, light and airy. In this school worked 62 teachers and there were more than 2127 students.

 The number of students was over than 2,000 so during the school year the school was divided into two Junior High Schools for Girls in

 The 3rd JUNIOR Trikala is located in the city center and is considered to be one of the oldest and best schools of the city. Provides education to 248 students five of which come from different countries.Most of our students are not only excellent in the Greek language but also in English, German, France.  Our school conducts many programs, such as environmental, cultural and health education, participates in cultural festivals, celebrations, and charity gala. In addition, it works as a school workshop of creative writing. Finally, many students participate in Math and Technology competitions and who had been distinguished.

 The school has two flours. I t has 13 classrooms.  It also has a computer and a science lab and two classrooms equipped by high- tech gadgets such as interactive whiteboards.  Like all schools has a school cantine, yard, a gym and a small garden.  In the same yard there are two different high schools.

 Our school has been participating in a great deal of programs- extra curricular activities such as :  Ecomobility  European Mobility Week  Visits in different museums and in other Greek cities  Excursions  Exchange students program

 In the framework of nation-school sports day on the theme: "School Sports - Participate and learn the Olympic ideals through the Olympic and Paralympic Sports" performed various actions

 The 3 rd Junior High School of Trikala is a school that evolves over time, follows the latest trends of education and aims to students become integrated personalities.
