Background Specialisation in neuroscience nursing is relatively new area Oulu University of Applied Sciences, Turku University of Applied Sciences, STADIA Polytechnic (autumn 2007) Multiporofessional specialisation 2009 nursing & physiotherpy

Curriculum is based on constructivism Subject based (not yet competence based) Experience is valued in selection Not Degree Programme – Continuing Education for professionals Level that is aimed ”competent” (minimum)

Future possibilities for implementaion of results of Neuroblend Familiar new staff in clinics, hospitals ect. Supporting professional development in neuroscience nursing career. Integrated in Specialisation studies in neuroscience nursing. Who can offer these studies and give certificate??? Integrate studies to pre-register education for nurses and physiotherapist.

Benifit for nursing profession Strengthen professional identity and indepence role of nurses Supporting the idea of life-long learning Career planning in neuroscience nursing is possible Challenge -> to get authorising of neuro science nursing in Finland -> to get European modul(s)
