2 Exporting Projects ● Why Export Projects? –To share projects with team members –To send test cases to WaveMaker support –To backup work
3 How to Export a Project ● Under the Admin menu, select Export Project –The zip file is created in / /export/.zip ● What is in the.zip file –Includes project directory and everything contained in the directory and subdirectories ● If you export again it overwrites existing file –If you are using this as a backup – rename your zip files
4 How to import a project ● Unzip the project zip file into the Projects directory ● You will see the project listed on the Welcome Screen ( you will have to refresh your browser) ● If you want to import a project that has the same name. –Use the copy function to rename your existing project before unzipping the exported project.
5 Generating a War File for Deployment ● When you are ready to deploy –Generate a WAR file –Contains *.class, *.js, *.css, *.xml, *.gif, *.jpg files –Can be deployed to any Java container using standard deployment tools –Platform independent
6 Generating a.war file ● Under the Admin menu, select Generate WAR… ● On the Database Connection Settings dialog box, enter JNDI name to connect to database –Overrides the hard-coded settings –For example, change the settings to connect to a production database ● Click OK
7 Generating a.war file ● The WAR file is created in / /dist/.war
