Pythagoras Greek philosopher and mathematician born on the island of Samos,Ionia

Pythagoras believed that the Earth was spherical and that the sun, moon, and planets have movements of their own. founded a school (brotherhood) among the Aristocrats.

Pythagoras was famous for formulating the Pythagorean theorem A 2 +B 2 =C 2 This theorem states that the square of the hypotenuse of a right-angled triangle is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides.

Pythagoras Little is known about his later years. He either left the city sometime before the outbreak of war and escaped death or was killed in the violence.
