Warm up: Rubric. Read it and create a question from it. DOK: 3-4; Learning Target: I can create a level 3 question to base research on. S. 1 November 7, 2014 Digital Storytelling

Class work 1. Posted around the room are posters with titles of eras we have studied/are studying/will study this semester. 2. As a group, you will rotate through each one, moving when time is called. 3. While at your poster, brainstorm people, ideas, events, issues from that era that you can recall. You may use books and notes. DOK: 3-4; Learning Target: I can create a level 3 question to base research on. S. 1

Now you get your era… 1. Review levels of questions. 2. Get your assigned era. 3. Go to your poster. 4. As an “era group” brainstorm a higher level question (or more). This is a question you could “thrash out”. Peer groups can edit if you like. 5. Take notes on your group’s planning sheet. 6. Report out. DOK: 3-4; Learning Target: I can create a level 3 question to base research on. S. 1

Exit What was the best question you heard today? Why? Turn in planning sheet with all names on it on your way out as well. DOK: 3-4; Learning Target: I can create a level 3 question to base research on. S. 1
