The education system favors the study of three languages in school :Hindi, English, and vernacular state language. Today the 2 most widely used language groups are the indo-Aryan and the Dravidian groups. Sanskrit belongs to the indo-Aryan group. It is considered to be the ancestor of most Indian languages.
