Exploring Higher Education & Training

Does Education Pay? Is the personal investment in higher education worth the cost?

Does Education Pay?  Resounding, YES!  High levels of education lead to higher incomes regardless of gender, race, ethnicity or economic background.

Does Education Pay?  Over their working lives, typical college graduates earn about 73% more than typical high school graduates.  On a societal level, higher education corresponds to lower levels of unemployment and poverty.

Where do people go to receive higher education/training?  Open a Word Document and create a list of places one would go to receive higher education/training.  Share with the person next to you  From your list come up to the whiteboard and write one example

Based on your list…  Create a list of criteria (characteristics) you would look for in an Apprenticeship, Tech School, Community College, University, and/or Military.
