Where Do I Live? You live in several places at once! Let’s explore to find out where!

You live at an: Address Your address is the street address where you live. We attend Walls Elementary. It’s address is 6131 Delta View Rd. It’s a very small place compared to the whole world.

You live in a: Town Our town is Walls. It’s like a city, but smaller. That’s why we call it a town. Towns or cities are made up of several streets and homes. It’s still a small place compared to the whole world.

You live in a: County Your county is DeSoto County. A county is a division, or part of a state. In each county, we have our own school system and different government services. Our state is made up of lots of counties! Guess how many!

Our state is made up of 82 counties! Quick, where is ours!?

You live in a: State Our state is Mississippi. Our country is made up of 50 states. Do you know our state capital? Jackson! Want to know more? ippi/ ippi/

You live in a: Region Unofficially, and according to the Association of American Geographers, Mississippi is considered the Southeast. However, most natives say that we live in the “Deep South.” Also, within Mississippi we live in regions. We’re considered living in the northwest part of MS. Why do you think that is? Also:

You live in a: Country We live in the United States of America. We have our own government, a democracy, our own laws, and our own territory (50 states). There are lots of countries in the world! Guess how many!
