Government Leaders City – Mayor State – Governor Country - President

Mayor The mayor is the leader of the city. The mayor makes sure things get done that will make the community a good place to live.

Governor The governor is the leader of the state. The governor suggests laws and sees that all state laws are obeyed.

President The President is the elected leader of the branch of government that carries out laws. The President’s job is to see that things get done to make the country a good place to live. The President lives in the White House.
