Christmas in Greece By Awesome Hailey and Awesome Yaili

Greece Foods In Greece, there are very little Christmas foods. There are roasted Lamb [baby sheep],pigs they slaughter, and a bread called christopsomo.

Décor All Over! During the month of Christmas, families make little decorations for their tiny house and the town. So, if you go to Greece, make sure to go during Christmas!

Why, the town is busy! During December 20 and on, it gets busy in town! Families go to shops getting gifts for all of their loved ones.

Greece evil spirits  Greece has evil spirits too, just like we have the devil. They have something that they say comes around during the 20 Days of Christmas. It is a ugly, sometimes terrifying creature called the Killantzarori. So when the 20 Days of Christmas come, the mother sprinkles Holy Water around the house to keep this strange thing away.

Greece Santa  St. Nick comes around like our Santa. A tale of what he looks like is that his clothes are covered in brine, and his beard full of sea water from trying to save drowning boats.

Greece presents  In Greece, children tend to get soda, dried figs, almonds, walnuts, coins, small gifts, and lots of presents. They get these presents on January 1 st instead of Christmas day.
