Here’s your prompt! Read carefully!

READ the following quotation: “How far that little candle throws his beams! So shines a good deed in a naughty world.” –William Shakespeare THINK It has often been said that nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something. Every act of goodness and charity, no matter how small, makes the world a better place. WRITE Write an essay describing something that you can do to make the world a better place.

Prompt: Write an essay describing something that you can do to make the world a better place. Step 1: Turn the prompt into a question! “What can you do to make the world a better place?”

Prompt: Write an essay describing something that you can do to make the world a better place. On your paper, brainstorm a list of ideas. You should have at least 5. Try to be specific! Use things you’ve learned about, your personal experience, etc.

Narrow down your choices! Look at your list. Pick your two choices. Think: What do you have the most ideas for? Begin creating a web of ideas to help with the brainstorming process.
