Emmett West Hour Myasthenia Gravis Muscular System

What is it? Myasthenia gravis is a disease that causes your immune system to accidently attacks healthy tissue. The body makes antibodies that block muscle tissue from receiving messages from the nerve cell. The exact cause of Myasthenia gravis is unknown. Gets worse with activity, and gets better with rest.

Symptoms Breathing difficulty. Chewing and swallowing problems, causing gagging, drooling, and choking. hard time going up and downstairs. Difficult time talking Fatigue Double vision Changing voice.

Treatment Have rest periods An eye patch if double vision is a problem Avoiding stress and heat. They make the symptoms worse.
