Quotes I have used the full name of each source on the first mention I have used the appropriate form (last name adult, first name peer) of the person’s name each time thereafter I have attributed direct quotes in past tense Direct quotes are placed at the beginning of the paragraph I alternated between direct quotes and transitions. Strong quotes add to the effect of the story

Style Start with key thoughts Keep sentences short Use familiar, definite words State each idea briefly Write with colorful words Include names Personal opinions are kept out of the story. First person and second person pronouns are avoided.
