A ‘single knowledge exchange office’: the policy context Professor Albert Rodger Chair, SFC Research and KE Committee

Scottish Government Policy Clear and direct guidance to the Council Should be seen in the context of:  the Government’s purpose of increasing sustainable economic growth  an expectation of increased knowledge exchange  a spending review settlement that expects the sector to deliver.

A strong foundation We have a long-shared understanding of knowledge exchange policy There is a track record of a high volume of impactful knowledge exchange work We have become used to collaborating across the sector to deliver higher quality and critical mass

Our challenges Extending our collaborative approach to develop KE activity for all parties – sector and business Thinking of new approaches whilst also simplifying the landscape Find more effective ways to deploy resources and expertise
