Rabies is transmitted by saliva that enters the body by a bite or opening in the skin. It then travels through your body to the brain and then it affects your Nervous System

Low fever degrees Pain at site of bite difficulty swallowing restlessness

To be sure that you do not get rabies you should be careful of you actions with animals.
