Verizon’s regulatory filing with the BPU included a $2.2M funding provision for NJ ED ge.Net. The inclusion of higher education in this program is significant and will serve as the basis for strengthening systemic collaboration with the K-12 community.

Network Advisory Board identified two key objectives: 1.To bring the advanced networking capabilities of Internet2 to the NJ ED ge membership 2.Reduce the costs of participation We now have a plan that achieves both objectives and will result in savings to the membership of $40,000 per month
