Tithes A tithe is a tenth or 10% of an increase of something Tithe must be the firstfruits of the increase Able and Cain Tithes are to be given (not paid) to your local church (the one you are attending) Neh 10:37 Tithes must at least 10% of your gross income not net (Taxes)

Purpose Meeting the needs of the Pastor (Priest), widows (>60 and faithful I Tim 5), orphans, and strangers Deut 14:29; 26:13 Num 18:24 I Tim 5:18 I Cor 9:7-14
