Participants will be taught: Proper ways to greet and address international guests according to their home country’s standards and practices How to exercise sensitivity towards international guests’ and their religion, beliefs, and personal practices How to correctly identify different countries of the world on a world map Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to: Demonstrate how to properly assist an international guest Explain how to meet the needs of an international guest and assist them with their personal needs and requests through scenario analysis Locate different countries on a map of the world upon instructor request
The Instructor will: Engage employees in scenario analysis Employees will form groups in which they are given a scenario or “situation” in which they will come up with effective strategies to correct or solve a problem using their service training This will be executed by acting out the scenario in class in groups or handouts will be given in which the group provides a written response to the scenario that they will share with the class Acting out or the scenario or the use of handouts will be at the discretion of the instructor Review basic map skills Employees will learn about different countries and regions of the world They will then move on to locate these countries on a World map

Instructor’s Feedback Instructor will provide feedback to employees on the following objectives: The ability to properly assist international guests with issues or problems thru scenario analysis exercises performed in class The ability to recognize and identify other countries and origins on a map of the world Employees’ general knowledge of current foreign relations between the United States and other countries Course rubric requirements Instructor will follow a course rubric as an instructional requirement guide Map identification exercises Employees will demonstrate knowledge of specified countries’ locations on a World Map
Scenario analysis exercises Employees will perform a scenario analysis which will be presented in class Employee course satisfaction surveys At the duration of the course, students will be given a survey to complete which will determine the satisfaction or displeasure with their experience
This course is designed to assist in the development of management ready employees that posses the necessary skills to provide special services to international guests of Baderman Island Resort. These employees will be evaluated on their abilities to successfully complete the training session an master course concepts.
