Which is the right answer? AFRICAASIAARCTICAMAZON Clue: the answer begins with an ‘A’….. Where will the greatest impacts of melting glaciers be felt?

If you think the answer is AFRICA…. ….go and stand at the back of the classroom!

If you think the answer is AMAZON…. ….go and stand at the front of the classroom!

If you think the answer is ARCTIC…. ….go and stand by the left wall of the classroom!

If you think the answer is ASIA…. ….go and stand by the right wall of the classroom!

Melting glaciers have several effects When glaciers like the Himalayas have melted away, people who relied on meltwater rivers for drinking supplies will be in trouble. Where do we find billions of people in need of water? When sea levels rise, people living close to sea level will have their homes flooded. Where do we find hundreds of millions of poor people living on low-lying land, like Bangladesh? So what’s the answer?

The right answer is ASIA And there are plenty of people at risk in AFRICA too
