To share the District Accountability Plan that guides OUR WORK to prepare our students, our families, and our town as a community of excellence See how Bloomfield created opportunities for stakeholders to provide input and feedback on the District Accountability Plan The Bloomfield Public Schools will focus all effort and resources to fulfill the priorities established by our Stakeholders, thereby raising achievement for ALL students 2 Bloomfield Public Schools Every Student, Every Day, Every Classroom

Our Historical Timeline January 4, 2012: First Stakeholders’ Meeting January 11, 2012: First District Data Team Meeting to establish role of Data Team in the development of the District Accountability Plan (DAP) January thru mid-April 2012: District Data Team Meetings to Review Stakeholders’ input and develop draft district vision statement and DAP April 24, 2012 : Presentation of draft DAP to BOE Curriculum Committee for feedback April 25, 2012 : Presentation of draft DAP to Stakeholders for feedback. April 25, 2012 to May 7, 2012: Incorporate feedback from all stakeholders into final draft of DAP May 8, 2012 : Present final draft of DAP to BOE for approval. 3 Bloomfield Public Schools Every Student, Every Day, Every Classroom

District Data Team COMPOSITION: The District Data Team is composed of: Teacher representatives from various schools, grades and content areas Principals (one from each level; elementary, middle and high school) Administrators from central office Superintendent’s Cabinet Members STRUCTURE: The District Data Team has: An overall District Data Team facilitator Four sub-committees, each with a Chairperson that focuses on: 1.Holistic Accountability 2.High Academic Achievement 3.Positive School Climate 4.Parent/Community Involvement 4 Bloomfield Public Schools Every Student, Every Day, Every Classroom

VISION STATEMENT The Bloomfield Public Schools will be a high-performing district with a positive culture of inclusion, an expectation of competitive academic achievement and a climate of meaningful parent and community engagement. 5 Bloomfield Public Schools Every Student, Every Day, Every Classroom

INCORPORATE FEEDBACK: Incorporate feedback from all stakeholders into final draft of District Accountability Plan.
