To graduate from NPHS, a student needs: 4 credits in English 4 credits in Social Studies 3 (or 4) credits in Math 3 (or 4) credits in Science 2 credits in Arts and Humanities 1.2 credits of Physical Education 0.9 credits of Health 3.9 credits of Electives
Additionally, a NPHS student must: Demonstrate proficiency in English Literature, Algebra 1, and Biology on Keystone Exams (pp. 5&6)
Class Rank combines grades and course levels to determine a weighted GPA (rounded to nearest one hundredth) Class rank is computed at the end of each year in 9 th, 10 th, and 11 th grades Maintaining A’s and B’s in appropriately challenging levels is important in class rank

Science of Flight 3915 Level: 5.0 Grades: Periods/Cycle: 6 Prerequisites: None Can earn up to 21 college credits through Adam State University for taking this course. (Can be transferred to other colleges) Course Description: –Students will learn how airplanes fly, human physiology of flight, and the effects of weather on aircraft. –Students will have the opportunity to use the flight simulator and build model aircraft. –There are numerous field trips available throughout the year.
