By-Law Study & Codification Committee Serving the people of North Attleborough through our study, consideration, and recommendations to the Finance Committee/RTM regarding the Town’s by-laws.

Are you proposing a new by-law for an upcoming Town Meeting?

 (c) All petitions for new and/or amended By- Laws shall be submitted to the By-Law Study and Codification Committee; the Committee will review the proposed By-Law in order to make a written recommendation to the Finance Committee and Board of Selectmen. ARTICLE VIII. APPOINTED BOARDS & COMMITTEES Sec.1. BY-LAW STUDY & CODIFICATION COMMITTEE

Servicing the Community  You don’t have to submit a petition for an upcoming Town Meeting for our review.  We can review your proposal prior to the opening of a Town Meeting Warrant.  Any member of the community can submit a petition to Town Meeting.

Our Service  We can advise you as you craft the petition with the following criteria:  Does this proposal effect any other government operations?  Does this proposal conflict with any other Town bylaw?  Does this proposal conflict with any State or Federal law?  Does this proposal warrant additional information for RTM consideration?
