This is City Hall in Halifax, this clock is stuck on the time 9:06, (the time of the explosion) December 6 th The Hall was built in 1749, it is located on Duke Street in Halifax. City Hall

This is one of the better known landmarks in the city...the town clock. The town clock was built in 1750 one year after Canada was founded. It is located on the bottom of Citadel Hill. Citadel Hill

St. Paul’s church in Halifax. It is the oldest protestant church in the country, it opened in 1750 and still is open today. It survived the Halifax Explosion in 1917 and there's evidence to prove it St. Paul's Church

Face in window When all the glass windows shattered in the Halifax Explosion one window left a shape that looked like a man who had worked at the church when it was first established.

The Five Fishermen Now a restaurant in Halifax but before becoming a restaurant it was an art school and a place were bodies of the Titanic victims bodies were kept. There became too many bodies they had to pile them up on the sidewalk!

Government House This is where our Lieutenant Governor lives. The current governor of the province is Mayan E Francis, she was born in Whitney Pier Cape Breton.

Alexander Keith's Brewery It is the oldest brewery in North America. It was founded in 1820 by Alexander Keith. The brewery is a very historic building that is well known around the Maritimes.

This is the Wright building in downtown Halifax. It was named after George Wright who was a famous printer. He was on the titanic when it sank and his body was never recovered. Wrights Building

The Press Gang The Press Gang is an old restaurant in downtown Halifax. It was originally used for recruiting drunken men to work on the ships without them really knowing what was going on.

Joseph Howe was newspaper editor who promoted freedom of the press after he was charged with speaking out against the government.

This is the Old Burying Ground Cemetery in downtown Halifax. No one has been buried here since 1844.
