What is ROP?

ROP stands for… R egional O ccupational P rogram The Tri-Valley ROC/P school district works in conjunction with tri-valley school districts to offer career and technical education courses at the high schools.

What is an ROP course? A course that combines academics with occupational knowledge in a hands- on learning environment.

What does an ROP course offer students? An opportunity to try a career interest/college major in high school. A course that is taught by an expert in the specific field of industry. A hands-on learning and/or internship experience.

Did you know? Many ROP courses satisfy the a-g application requirements for UC and CSU Several ROP courses offer college credit – Meaning if you pass the course’s requirements you earn FREE and transferrable college credits.

What courses do we offer? We offer over 30 courses at our local high schools. Your student is able to take an ROP course at any of the local high schools!!!! Arts, Media, & Entertainment Education, Child Development Energy and Utilities Finance & Business Health Science and Medical Technology Marketing, Sales, & Service Public ServicesTransportation
